Tereshchenko Oksana
Ph.D., Associate Professor


Has graduated from Kyiv State University Shevchenko on specialty «Chemistry and analysis of trace elements». Works at the Department of Ecology and Plant Polymers Technology National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute»:
−    2001 – till now – associate Professor;
−    1999 – 2001 – assistant Professor of Ecology and Technology of Plant Polymers National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute»;
−    1991 – 1999 – engineer, junior researcher;
2000 she defended her thesis on «Decontamination of sewage, containang cesium-137 and strontium-90 radioisotops».  Awarded the title of associate professor (2005). Is an author of 2 books and 40 research works.
Conducts lectures: "Analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis", "Environmental monitoring", "Physico-chemical methods of analysis of the environment", "Special sections biogeochemistry", "Analytical aspects of pulp and paper production".
Research interests: water treatment technologies, determining concentrations of chemical compounds in water, wastewater from radioactive contamination methods of coagulation, flocculation, flotation and ion exchange.
 



«Analytical chemistry» program is designed for bachelor students in specialty 6.040106 «Ecology and Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources». Educational discipline belongs to the disciplines of students free choice (professional component). Consists of two modules: 1.    Quality analysis; 2.    Quantitative analysis. The program studies: theoretical bases of methods of analysis, opening and establishment of new conformities to law and correlations between chemical elements; improvement of existing and development of new, quicker and accurate analysis methods.
Semesters: 4,5
Credits: 10 credits /360 academic hours
Study time: lectures 54 hours; laboratory works 90 hours.

«Monitoring of environment» program is designed for bachelor students in specialty 6.040106 «Ecology and Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources». It refers to the cycle of professional and practical preparation. The program studies the processes of controlling the quality of environmental components, methodology of determination of contaminants in the air, water and soil, develops the programs of processing results of measuring and sampling frequency.
Semester: 6.
Credits: 6 credits / 216 academic hours.
Study time: lectures – 54 hours; practical training – 9 hours; laboratory works – 27 hours.

«Special divisions of biogeochemistry» program is designed for bachelor students in specialty 6.040106 «Ecology and Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources». It refers to disciplines of independent choice of educational institution of cycle of mathematical, natural science preparation. The program studies the chemical composition of living matter and geochemical processes that flow that take place in the Earth's biosphere with participation of living organisms. Biogeochemistry is closely connected with chemistry, geography, physics.
Semester: 2.
Сredits: 6 credits/ 216 academic hours .
Study time: lectures – 54 hours; laboratory works – 36 hours.

«Physical and chemical methods of analysis of environment» program is designed for bachelor students in specialty 6.040106 «Ecology and Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources». It refers to disciplines of independent choice of educational institution. The «Physical and chemical methods of analysis of natural environment» program studies the processes of identifying and evaluating sources of pollution of natural objects by harmful substances as a result of discharges or emissions of these substances into the environment and as a result of the natural formation of harmful substances and their accumulation.
Semester: 7.
Credits: 7 credits/ hours 252.
Study time: lectures – 45 hours; laboratory works – 63 hours.

«Analytical aspects of the environment» program is made in accordance with the educational and professional training program for bachelors training in specialty 6.051301 «Chemical Engineering». It refers to the disciplines of students free choice (professional component). The program studies methods for quantifying the composition of substances and scientific and theoretical basis for these methods.
Semester: 7.
Credits: 4 credits/144 hours.
Study time: lectures – 18 hours; practical training – 18 hours; laboratory works – 36 hours.

«Applied Chemistry» program is prepared in accordance with the educational and professional training program for bachelors in specialty 6.051301 «Chemical Engineering». It refers to the disciplines of students free choice (professional component).  «Applied Chemistry» studies the transformations of substances accompanied by the changes in their composition, properties and (or) structure. «Applied Chemistry» is closely connected to the others branches of chemistry (except organic chemistry), such as –  analytical chemistry, colloid chemistry, physical chemistry, electrochemistry, radiochemistry, chemical physics.
Semester: 1.
Credits: 3.5 credits / 126 hours.
Study time:  lectures – 18 hours; practical training – 45 hours.
